Enter the float you manage today and how much of it you expect to move, then add any reverse, improvement or other exchanges you handle.
Your pay = 15% × (interest on your float at 3.5% + client fees − direct legal and other expense)
1 Your float
Float is the client money held between the sale of one property and the purchase of the next. Use your average balance across a year.
2 Forward exchanges
A standard sell-first, buy-later exchange. Each one carries an $800 client fee and no legal expense.
3 Reverse, improvement and other exchanges
These vary by deal. For each type, enter how many you expect a year, the client fees per exchange, and the legal or other direct expense Precision pays to handle it. You earn 15% of what is left. The interest on their funds is already counted in your float.
An exchange where the expense is higher than the fees adds nothing to your fee share.
If more or less of your book moves
The same book at different shares of your current float. Forward exchanges scale with the float; the other exchanges stay as you entered them.
| Share that moves | Float | Forward exchanges | Your pay a year | A month |
|---|
Your pay builds over the first months. Float starts at zero when you join and grows as your clients' sales close and their exchanges open, usually over about one 60-day holding cycle. The figures above are the yearly rate once the float you move is in place.
Illustrative only. This is not an offer or a promise of earnings. Actual pay depends on interest rates, how long clients hold funds, the size and mix of exchanges, and fees. It does not include any guaranteed draw or stock options. Terms are tentative and subject to change; the terms that apply to you are the ones in your signed agreement.
